Homemade Strawberry Jam

Homemade Strawberry Jam

We are getting near the end of Strawberry picking season. Pack a picnic, grab the kids and head out to one of the local farms and support our farmers! Handpicked, homemade strawberry jam is super easy and super affordable.

I buy the cute 8 ounce Ball canning jars with the silver lids along with the Ball Fruit Jell Freezer Jam Pectin. You just stir in the pectin with a little bit of sugar and add fresh fruit. It's that Simple. Your teachers will love it and it's something they can bring home and share with their family.

Here is the recipe:

1 package of Freezer Jam Pectin
1 1/2 cups of sugar
4 cups fresh strawberries, crushed

Directions:

Stir your three ingredients and let set for 30 minutes in air tight jars. Refrigerate up to 3 weeks or freeze for 1 year.
